THE RAINBOW'S WHISPER
The sky bruised from thunder's hand
The Rainbow’s Whisper: A Psyche in Seven Shades
The storm has passed, its fury spent, The sky now holds a quiet lament.
A hush descends, the world feels new, The clouds part wide to let light through.
And there it arcs—a spectral dome, A bridge of light, a sky-bound poem.
Red - The Flame of Love and Rage
Red blazes first, a fierce delight, The pulse of passion, bold and bright.
It stirs our hearts with lust and flame, And fans the fire when we feel shame.
It is anger’s roar and love’s embrace, A primal force we all must face.
Orange – The Spark of Joy and Play
Then orange glows with cheerful grace, A laughing child’s sun-painted face.
It dances through our dreams and schemes, The color of our wildest themes.
It lifts the soul with zest and cheer, And makes the mundane feel sincere.
Yellow – The Light of Hope and Thought
Now yellow beams like morning’s song, A guiding light when things go wrong.
It clears the mind, ignites the spark, And leads us gently from the dark.
It’s hope reborn, a golden thread, That pulls us up when joy has fled.
Green – The Breath of Peace and Growth
Green follows next, a soothing balm, A forest hush, a healing calm.
It speaks of growth, of roots and rain, Of letting go and easing pain.
It is love that waits, and time that mends, The color where forgiveness bends.
Blue – The Depth of Trust and Thought
Blue deepens like a twilight sea, A quiet trust, a reverie.
It slows the heart, invites the mind, To seek the truths we often find.
It’s loyalty and wisdom’s hue, The calm that helps us think things through.
Indigo – The Shade of Dreams and Soul
Indigo slips in soft and low, A velvet night where secrets grow.
It stirs the soul with silent grace, And leads us to a hidden place.
It is intuition’s quiet call, The voice we hear when shadows fall.
Violet – The Crown of Art and Flight
Then violet crowns the arc with flair, A mystic breath, a painter’s air.
It lifts us from the world we know, To realms where wildest visions go.
It’s art, it’s faith, it’s love refined, The color of the open mind.
The Rainbow After the Storm
The sky still bruised from thunder’s hand, Now glows with light across the land.
The air is thick with earthy scent, As if the clouds gave their lament.
Then from the hush, the rainbow springs, A bridge of light with spectral wings.
Red roars like fire, orange plays, Yellow hums with golden rays.
Green breathes peace, blue calms the soul, Indigo dreams, and violet’s whole.
Children point with eyes aglow, Lovers pause and let time slow.
The world forgets its weight and pain, As colors fall like gentle rain.
A prism born from storm and strife, A fleeting glimpse of deeper life.

What a beautiful way to look at the rainbow. This poem has such a gentle, hopeful feeling to it. The Green and Blue stanzas were my favourite. Lovely work!
