MIGRATORY BIRDS
A FLIGHTY TRIP INTO COMPARISON.
Migratory Birds vs. Our Mobile Society
I hope this poem resonates with the constant movement
and the search for opportunities that characterize both
migratory birds and today’s mobile society.
Like geese that soar in V-shaped flight,
We chase our dreams from day to night.
In search of warmth, of light, of life,
We move, a stream of human strife.
Migratory birds, with wings so wide,
Span continents with each stride.
So too do we, with phones in hand,
Connect across this vast land.
They fly by instinct, an ancient call,
We follow jobs, the season’s fall.
Both were pulled by an unseen force,
A nature’s guide, or market’s course.
Birds touch down on foreign soil,
We land in cities, and start to toil.
Seeking sustenance, a place to thrive,
In crowded nests, we come alive.
With each departure, a return,
For homely comforts, we all yearn.
Yet, like the birds, we must away,
The call for progress leads our way.
So let us learn from feathered friends,
Life’s journey never truly ends.
Through skies or roads, we find our path,
In flight or travel, we craft our aftermath.
